Apple Filing Protocol will soon disappear completely from macOS
My goodness this article brought back memories of when I was working for Apple (in between Jobs’ s tenure sadly) when I was installing these systems in various clients offices. The funniest was when I installed a network of 3 Mac’s, a printer and a modem credit card system in a very expensive high end brothel. The Microsoft world had nothing to compare to apple’s solution. -

iPhone fold: All the rumors about Apple's first foldable, and when it might launch
Totally agree with Pema Apple works on lots of things most of which probably will never become an actual product but often the technologies and ideas developed flow into other products. Samsung and other foldables simply don’t sell partly because they are ridiculously expensive, heavy and have crap battery life. Opposite have a 3 screen foldable which folds out to approximately the same as an iPad Air which may actually have a realistic use but it’s around $3000 seriously over 3K for an android phone ! -
New iPhone Fold leak details screen resolutions & under-display camera
I’m sure Apple is prototyping a foldable phone as well as other devices that might never become an actual product. But as others have pointed out where’s the demand for this sort of thing. Samsung and other android manufacturers have produced several models but who’s buying them? I’ve only seen one, a Galaxy Flip which was pretty useless as the two screens were too small to be used easily and it was over $2000 ! Can’t see Apple actually bringing a folding anything in the future unless the technology improves a lot.
