I, too, fear that Rosetta 2 support will be dropped far too early like it was for Snow Leopard days that last time we switched CPUs. Apple could probably sell Rosetta 2 as an app just to support legacy games.

If Intel Macs, maybe one can still run windows (gasp) then their use can be very much extended. Linux updates and support will help extend any computers usable life. Otherwise, hack those retina iMacs to use as 5K displays!

17GB is crazy for an OS. We need a way of removing the Intel or Apple Silicon specific code after install.

The people who can least afford to pay the deposit on the equipment are the ones who need it the most to save on repairs and vice-versa. It’s a lot of hassle to save a few hundred bucks while risking messing it up. Well, YouTubers will have conte…

SiTime said: So it’s going to be “iOS 26” and not “iOS 25”? Going to make it less-confusing by naming it one calendar year ahead of the actual year (car model year style)? If so, that’s fine. I’ll adjust. But doing it this way is slightly mor…

I had a 7 Plus for 4 years and a 12 Pro Max for three and a half. Both needed new batteries which was why i ultimately upgraded, not for usability issues or performance. I got a 15 pro Max. I liked my 7 and COVID made the 12 not quite as utili…

A company that is profitable and growing has investors wanting to see the stock price increase. A company that is profitable with flat sales, investors want dividends since the price won’t go up. Companies should have cash to get them through …

Too late to edit, but one thing to add: Any dock that is designed to sit atop or under a device that interferes with its WiFi automatically gets zero stars in my reviews. Bad design. Bad product. Cannot possibly recommend anything else.

I would have rated it a 1.5 to 2 at most for wasting a thunderbolt port’s bandwidth. For $150, it shouldn’t cripple the port.

Apple took a leap by using unified RAM. It provides much of the speed boost that makes Apple Silicon so quick. This ram isn’t cheap. Integrating it does save Apple money on its mobos. No DIMM slots. Improves memory reliability. Does anyone t…

At least Facebook wasn’t foolish enough to burn $10B developing a car that never happened. Apple needs a new product segment for future growth. I’m not sure this is the next big thing. I have no idea what could be.
