Time for a new CEO at Apple. The things described here suggests the present one no longer connects to the people inside Apple and the handling of the CSAM stuff suggests he no longer understands the world outside Apple.

There is also a problem with Firewall disabling Airplay in macOS Sequoia. Here are some discussions about the problem:

The solution in all three discussions is to disable Firewall, set up the Airplay connection and then re-enable Firewall. The Airplay connection continues to work after Firewall is re-enabled but any new connection requires disabling it again. This is very inconvenient but at least it is a workaround.

I do not see a lot of discussion about this problem which suggests either Airplay from macOS is not used very much or it is something else on the computers which is causing the problem. If it is the latter I would be very interested to know what I can change to remove the problem.

Will this offer anything outside the USA?

Except for the FACT that duckduckgo is a useless piece of crap that can’t find anything. I know, I’ve tried using it several times and always had to return to Google to get what I was looking for. Google Search may have privacy problems but it is the best algorithm out there, period.

Must be user error - I’ve been using DDG almost exclusively for 2 years. Really don’t miss google

I also find DuckDuckGo meets my needs for search. Maybe others do not find it satisfactory because it's not as effective at converting vaguely worded queries into what the user wants. But that's just speculation; since I don't use Google I can't comment on whether it might be a "better" search engine.

You cannot use hashed passwords to authenticate. 

Infostealer malware, which is software designed to siphon saved credentials from browsers and apps, appears to have compiled the leaked data.

If this is correct the passwords were not taken from the servers but from users' computers.

Some websites now offer the use of passkeys as an alternative to passwords. Can anyone advise if passkeys are more resistant to this type of theft than passwords?

No it's not. There are already continuous glucose monitors (CGMs) which provide the same information without any action on the part of the patient. Unfortunately those require the presence of a sensor on the patient's body and the sensors are expensive. The difficulty with this device is that a patient with low blood sugar may not be sufficiently aware of what is happening to do the test. The same might be true of high blood sugar but in my experience that just makes me very angry. I have had type 1 diabetes for 60 years and consider the currently available CGMs a huge advance on finger pricking which was also a huge advance on what was available before them (nothing). Having to stop and blow into a device to get a reading is a bit of a backward step. I'm not going to do that while driving a car through a busy city but the current CGMs would shout at me if my blood sugar got too low.
